Designing with artefact ecologies, November 29, 5pm, Ursa Menor room, -1 floor, Tecnopolo

Presentation and discussion of Susanne's work on artefact ecologies. Through some cases, discussion about how artefact ecologies may be used in design in particular when it comes to infra structuring and appropriation.

Short bio: Susanne Bødker is professor of Computer Science/Human-Computer Interaction at Aarhus University, Denmark, doing research in human-computer interaction, computer supported cooperative work, and participatory design. Previously co-center leader for CHMI, a center with Risø financed by The Danish National Research Foundation (1998-2003). Manager of several interdisciplinary projects, including the strategic project, eGov+ (2008-2011). Currently co-managing Aarhus University interdisciplinary center PIT (pit.au.dk) which is a collaboration with four research groups across the faculties of Science & Technology, and Arts. Recently received an ERC Advanced Grant to start end of 2017. Recipient of ACM SigDOC Rigo award 2008 for extraordinary lifelong achievements “for her contributions to participatory design, computer-supported cooperative work and human-computer interaction” and the IFIP Pioneer award, 2016. Member of ACM CHI Academy since 2010.
