ENERMAC - Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency for the Sustainable Development of Western Africa and Macaronesian islands

Scope


The general purpose of the project is to develop actions that contribute to maximize the use of renewable and indigenous energy sources, in order to contribute to reducing Energy dependency and promote the sustainable development of the islands of Macaronesia and West Africa. Also, enhancing research, technological development and innovation improvement of research and innovation infrastructures (I + I) and the capacity to develop excellence in I + I matters and the promotion of centers of competence, especially those of European interest.

Specific objective: Energy planning
Activity 2.1.1: Planning of strategies for the implementation of marine and terestrial renewable energy infrastructures 
Activity 2.1.2: Planning for low carbon mobility
Activity 2.1.3: Modeling for the optimization of energy planning

Specific Objective Rational Use of Energy
Activity 2.2.1: Integration of solar heat into industrial processes
Activity 2.2.2: Biomass: energy recovery of waste
Activity 2.2.3: Energy Efficiency

Specific objective Analysis of Electrical and Micro Networks
Activity 2.3.1: Network studies of electrical systems
Activity 2.3.2: Optimization of the penetration of renewable energies in electrical networks
Activity 2.3.3: Design, implementation and operation of microgrids
