M-ITI Research Fellow elected for the ACM Future of Computing Academy

Johannes Schoening, Professor at the University of Bremen and M-ITI Research Fellow, was elected for the inaugural class of the ACM Future of Computing Academy (https://www.acm.org/fca).

The ACM Future of Computing Academy (ACM-FCA) is a new initiative created by ACM to support and foster the next generation of computing professionals. The Academy is a platform that enables the next generation of researchers, practitioners, educators and entrepreneurs to develop a coherent and influential voice that addresses challenging issues facing the field and society in general. The ACM-FCA will seek to harness collective action to define and launch new ACM initiatives that will carry us into the future.

Johannes Schoening is the Lichtenberg Professor and Professor of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at the University of Bremen in Germany and co-director of the Bremen Spatial Cognition Center (BSCC). Since 2015 he is affiliated with M-ITI as a visiting Professor and Research Fellow teaching and collaborating in several research projects at M-ITI.
