CEDAR (Collaborative Engineering Design and Review): uma plataforma colaborativa que visa ajudar em projectos de engenharia com necessidades de colaboração remotas. Estas condições exigem portabilidade - ninguém vai andar a transportar grandes mesas tácteis ou projectores para localizações remotas - daí a escolha de iPads. Estes estão no "sweet-spot" entre a portabilidade e a usabilidade devido ao seu tamanho. Apresentamos, também, dois modos de interacção distintos: um utilizando os sensores cinéticos, criando assim uma manipulação de câmara natural e intuitiva, tal como se estivéssemos no local a navegar e filmando à nossa volta; e uma outra utilizando a câmara e um "tracker", que nos permite ver toda a zona de uma perspectiva de "bird's eye" - com principal utilização em demonstrações rápidas de toda a zona e para guia de outros utilizadores. Aqui, apresentamos, como exemplo prático, uma empresa petrolífera e o respectivo barco extractor.
