Prof. Vassilis Kostakos has recently received a 2010 IBM Open Collaborative Faculty Award of USD 40,000. As stated by James Spohrer, Director of the Global University Programs at IBM, this is a highly competitive award which he received in recognition of the quality of his research, its importance to industry, and his support for open collaborative research.
