Prof. Morgado Dias was elect President of the Portuguese Association of Automatic Control

Prof. Morgado Dias, faculty of the University of Madeira and researcher in M-ITI, took office, on January 1, 2013 as President of the Portuguese Association of Automatic Control (APCA), following the General Assembly of this organization that took place on July 17, 2012, during the 10th Control Conference, held at the University of Madeira from 16 to 18 July 2012.
The APCA is a scientific and technical association, nonprofit, private in nature, whose purpose is to promote and encourage education, scientific research and technological development in the area of ​automatic control and instrumentation in Portugal.
The APCA is the National Member Organization of IFAC – International Federation of Automatic Control, with, among others, the responsibility to appoint, for a period of 3 years, Portuguese researchers to become members of the IFAC Technical Committees. Thus, the APCA provides a very important contribution to the visibility of scientific work produced in our country.
