M-ITI, as an integrated member of the Laboratory of Robotics and Systems in Engineering and Science -LARSyS, is participating in Ciência 2016, an event taking place from 4 to June 6, at Centro de Congressos de Lisboa.
Professor Nuno Nunes is one of the invited speakers, giving the lecture: “Sensed cities, challenges and applications” at the session “Smart and sustainable cities”. This event is an opportunity to promote research work in Smart Cities, to network, and develop partnerships with top national researchers.
Ciência 2016 is an annual conference, open to the whole scientific community, where the technological and scientific activity in Portugal is showcased and debated. Ciência 2016 gathers researchers from different spheres of society to a plural and in-depth debate about the challenges faced by the Portuguese scientific community.
This conference is organized by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) in collaboration with Ciência Viva - Agência Nacional para a Cultura Científica e Tecnológica, Academia das Ciências de Lisboa and Comissão Parlamentar de Educação e Ciência, with the support of the Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Ensino Superior.
The European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas, who already visited M-ITI in April, was present at the opening ceremony.
